It’s good to stock your pantry with an inventory of items to use regularly in meals. I’ve compiled a list of items that I’ve found to be essential in a vegetarian kitchen.

Dried goods

  • Various dried beans and legumes: Chickpeas, black beans, lentils, etc
  • Various grains: Quinoa, rice, barley, pasta, kamut, etc
  • Nutritional yeast
  • Panko bread crumbs
  • Organic Flaxseeds

Oils and vinegars

  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Organic Apple Cider vinegar
  • Balsamic Vinegar
  • Red wine vinegar
  • Organic Coconut oil
  • Liquid Smoke

Herbs and spices

  • Kosher salt
  • Garam masala
  • Cumin
  • Chili powder, tumeric, cayenne pepper
  • Dried herbs: Basil, oregano, dill, fennel seed, mustard seed
